Several Red Wings players switch jersey numbers!
New numbers for 2023-24 are out.

New players, new numbers - including a few current players on the roster making a switch as well!
The Detroit Red Wings have several new players in town for this season thanks to GM Steve Yzerman's offseason shopping spree, and as such, there are several new uniform numbers that will be on display. And among the new uniform jersey numbers are new digits for Jonatan Berggren and Simon Edvinsson.
Berggren is trading in the No. 52 he wore last year for No. 48, while Edvinsson is giving veteran newcomer Justin Holl his No. 3 and switching to No. 77, the first full-time Red Wings blue liner to wear the number since Hall of Famer Paul Coffey.
