Sean Avery was renowned for his controversial behaviour on NHL ice throughout his 12-year career, and he managed to make headlines as well afterwards, off the ice.
Following a stop-start second stint with the New York Rangers, Avery retired in 2012. He went on to modelling, becoming the face of Hickey Freeman’s summer campaign in 2012, as well as star in print ads for 7 For All Mankind, and causing havoc on social media more than once, but now, a significant change has come to Avery’s career as he landed a cameo in the new blockbuster movie Oppenheimer as a weatherman, per IMDb.
Avery last played in the NHL during the 2011-12 season and has appeared in 580 games, racking up 1,533 penalty minutes for four different franchises.
This is a great jump in his acting career as Oppenheimer is expected to be one of the top grossing movies of the summer.
