Scary scene at Madison Square Garden after Flyers' Anthony Richard takes a skate blade to the face
Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller accidentally clipped him directly in the face.

Philadelphia Flyers forward Anthony Richard took an accidental skate to the face courtesy of New York Rangers defenseman K'Andre Miller this evening in a play that made my heart skip a beat.

As the post above states, Richard left the ice on his own but did leave to get checked out by team medical staff.
Another look at the play:
Richard appeared to get off incredibly lucky in this play with no real indication of a skate cut. You can't blame him for reacting the way he did though because I can only imagine the fear that you would feel in that scenario.
Again, thankfully it looks like he'll be just fine.
