The San Jose Sharks have resigned young Swedish forward Marcus Sorensen to a two-year, two-way deal.

We have yet to know the financial details of the contract. 

The 25-year-old left-winger who played in 19 NHL games this past season collecting 4 points,  had spent most of the 2016-17 campaign with the Sharks affiliated club, the San Jose Barracuda. In the AHL, Sorensen scored 17 goals and collected 34 points in 43 games.

He might be a good option to fill the void left by Patrick Marleau's departure from San Jose to Toronto in the off-season.

A five-foot-ten, 175-pound forward, Sorensen was drafted in the 4th round of the 2010 NHL draft by the Ottawa Senators, and then signed with San Jose as a free agent in May of 2016.
