Could we see a move go down soon?

The Edmonton Oilers had better do something about their goaltending if they have any realistic intention of climbing the hole that they've dug themselves into so far this season, which sees them at the bottom of the Pacific Division with a stunning 5-11-1 record.

They've already fired head coach Jay Woodcroft and demoted struggling goaltender Jack Campbell to the American Hockey League, and Stuart Skinner hasn't exactly inspired confidence with his play this year. The team has been rumored to be in the market for a goaltender via trade, and the Montreal Canadiens are said to be on GM Ken Holland's radar considering they are one of the few squads running with three goalies.

According to TSN's Hockey Insider Darren Dreger, the Oilers could be on the verge of acquiring goaltender Samuel Montembeault from the Canadiens.

“Who do you do? I am sure Kenny Holland is beating the phones trying to figure out, ‘Is there a trade for fit out there?'” Dreger said.

“If we’re connecting the dots in Edmonton one more time, guess where we’re going? We’re talking  Xavier Bourgault and maybe something else, I don’t know. I think that would get the attention of Kent Hughes in management of the Canadiens. But given where the Edmonton Oilers are maybe you can make it a little more extravagant. Maybe you can build it into something bigger. Do we say blockbuster? Maybe.”

So far this season, Montembeault has amassed a record of 3-3-1 with a 2.78 goals against average playing alongside Jake Allen and Cayden Primeau.

Oilers fans, is this who you'd like to see Holland acquire in a potential trade to fix Edmonton's goaltending woes?
