Report: Chara trade rumors are heating up!

The Boston Bruins are not having the start to the 2017-18 they expected or wanted... the lackluster 2-3 start is now causing the rumor mill to turn faster!

Inhis 31 Thoughts article of this week, Sportnet's Elliotte Friedman explains that two seasons ago, the Los Angeles Kings and San Jose Sharks were amongst teams asking the Bruins about star defenseman Zdeno Chara. 

Again this past summer, other teams inquired about the 40-year-old veteran, even rumblings that the Toronto Maple Leafs were in the mix, though nothing was confirmed. 

Now, with the many injuries up front and the poor season start, rumors surrounding Zdeno are back on. 

"If the Bruins continue to struggle, it will only heat up."

It has been reported that GM Don Sweeney plans to re-sign the future Hall of Famer. Talks have been ongoing between the two parties, but many things can change before the Trade Deadline, where Chara could become a rental player for a Cup Contender.
