The 2023-24 NHL season is quickly approaching, and the Detroit Red Wings will soon be hitting Training Camp in Traverse City with several new faces on the roster and a renewed hope among the fan base that the rebuilding process will take a significant step forward this year.

This will also mark the 7th season the Red Wings have played at Little Caesars Arena after having played nearly four decades at the historic Joe Louis Arena. However, the team made the call that was somewhat controversial amongst the fan base to remove the iconic "Hockeytown" logo from center ice starting in 2018-19, opting for just a large Red Wings logo.

Plenty of fans have voiced their desire to see a nostalgic past characteristic of The Joe make its return to LCA, but to no avail. However, the team has teased a notable change in the look at center ice for this season - specifically, the center ice red line. In addition to the white rectangles painted into the red line, the Red Wings are now following a trend that several teams have started by placing small Red Wings logos in between them.

Among the teams who have team logos also incorporated into the center ice red line include the Toronto Maple Leafs, Vegas Golden Knights, Calgary Flames and Los Angeles Kings. Red Wings fans, how are you liking the new look for this upcoming season?
