Red Wings sign Joe Veleno to new contract

The Detroit Red Wings have taken care of their last remaining free agent and can now turn their full attention to the upcoming 2023-24 NHL season.
Forward Joe Veleno has agreed to a one year contract extension with an AAV of $825,000.
The former 2018 1st round draft pick of the Red Wings skated in his first full NHL season last year, scoring nine goals with 11 assists in 81 games played. He's also just wrapped up his entry level contract that saw him carry a salary cap hit of $894,167.
