The absolute last thing that Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri needs to deal with right now is another injury. After all, he's missed significant time in his career after having torn his ACL on two separate occasions. Additionally, the Red Wings can ill-afford to lose a forward who has been a reliable offensive producer since his acquisition in 2019.
Fabbri was hurt during the first period of Monday's victory against the Washington Capitals at Little Caesars Arena, and was soon declared unavailable to return for the remainder of the game. But the good news is that it doesn't appear as though he'll be out for another long stretch of time.
According to head coach Derek Lalonde, they don't view the upper body injury that Fabbri suffered to be of the serious variety.
Fabbri was acquired from the St. Louis Blues in November of 2019 in exchange for bottom-six forward Jacob de la Rose, who is no longer playing in the NHL.
He was limited to 28 games last season, scoring seven goals and nine assists.
