It once again won't be a full Red Wings roster tonight.

The Detroit Red Wings are looking to make it two straight victories tonight when they bring in the Carolina Hurricanes to Little Caesars Arena, but once again, they'll be hitting the ice with anything but a full roster.
As you know, Dylan Larkin remains sidelined following the stunning injury he suffered on Saturday night against Ottawa, while David Perron continues to serve his suspension for his retaliatory cross-check against Ottawa's Artum Zub; his appeal to have the suspension shortened remains active.
Meanwhile, forward J.T. Compher will miss his 5th straight game with an undisclosed injury, though his status remains officially listed as "day to day" by the Red Wings.
The good news is that Larkin hit the ice with the rest of his teammates earlier today, albeit wearing the gray non-contact jersey.
"He went on the IR, I think a lot of people think the worst," said head coach Derek Lalonde of Larkin after the practice session. "From him being completely out cold to being helped off the ice made it an optimistic scenario (today) for the rest of us. … The fact he’s skating in a non-contact is positive, but I couldn’t give you an exact timetable. I want to be careful.”
In the 24 games that Larkin has played, he's scored 11 goals with 14 assists. Meanwhile, Compher has proven himself to be a valuable addition to the Red Wings roster, and was on pace to break his pervious career high in points prior to his injury.
“He’s close,” Lalonde said of Compher. “It’s a recurring, nagging, literally it’s good one day, not great the next. Hopefully, he makes some strides and we’ll see how it goes for Saturday.”
Tonight's game can be viewed on ESPN+. Tonight's' anticipated line combinations according to MLive's Ansar Khan are as follows:
