It was nothing short of absolute chaos between the Detroit Red Wings and San Jose Sharks last night at Little Caesars Arena, as both teams combined for eight goals in the second period alone that would eventually be a 6-5 overtime triumph for the visiting Sharks.
It was a pair of shorthanded goals on the same penalty that paved the way for San Jose's furious comeback effort, and the Red Wings certainly could have used the services of capable defensive forward J.T. Compher, who missed the game after being listed "day to day".
Right now, his status for tomorrow's game remains to be officially determined, as he practiced today wearing a non-contact gray jersey.
According to head coach Derek Lalonde, a decision will be made tomorrow prior to game time. Detroit hosts the Ottawa Senators starting at 7:00 PM EST.
