Detroit Red Wings forward Robby Fabbri was able to escape injury during the preseason after departing a game, but he’s unfortunately banged up after having scored in last night’s 4-3 loss to the New Jersey Devils.
According to head coach Derek Lalonde, Fabbri will not be able to suit up in tomorrow night’s home opener at Little Caesars Arena against the Tampa Bay Lightning. But the good news is that he’s not expected to be out long term.
The Red Wings could elect to call up a forward from the Grand Rapids Griffins, potentially Jonatan Berggren.
