Player-for-player trade between Nashville and Tampa Bay
A minor-league trade with just over a week to go prior to the March 7 deadline. Full details below:
The Nashville Predators have acquired forward Jesse Ylonen from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for forward Anthony Angello.
So far, both players have spent this season playing in the AHL.
Ylonen was selected in the second round by the Montreal Canadiens in 2018 and is set to become a pending restricted free agent, carrying a cap hit of $775,000 this season.
This season with the AHL’s Syracuse Crunch, he has put up eight goals and 17 points in 47 games
As for Angello, he has recorded seven goals and 14 points in 41 games with the Milwaukee Admirals this season.
He last appeared in an NHL game during the 2021-22 season with the Pittsburgh Penguins, who selected him in the fifth round of the 2014 draft.
