Pictures surface of Matthew Tkachuk partying on St. Patty’s Day
He may be injured and out of the Panthers’ lineup, but clearly he’s getting better. See for yourself below:
The Florida Panthers recently received positive news about star player Matthew Tkachuk and his projected return to the team’s lineup after being sidelined with a nagging groin injury.
That might be why fans caught Tkachuk, who’s been on injured reserve since February 8, out partying on Monday, celebrating St. Patty’s Day at the Elbo Room in Florida.
Pictures emerged of Tkachuk sporting his green hat, worn yearly for the special day.
Some fans were very critical of Tkachuk and the pictures of him having fun, wondering how he could do so while being injured. I mean, is he expected to stay laying down in bed for the recovery?
This just mostly be seen as a positive update on Tkachuk’s condition, which could mean that the star forward will get a brief stint in the regular season to regain his form before the Panthers embark on their Stanley Cup defense.
Ahead of Tuesday night’s action, the Panthers were sitting first in the Atlantic division with 85 points. Tkachuk has been a critical member of the Florida squad, recording 22 goals and 57 points across 52 games. A return in time for the postseason period would bring exceptional value to the Cats’ championship defense.
Let him party! After, it will be time for business.
