The Pittsburgh Penguins will be down one of their top forwards in what is a pivotal game for them this season.

Coming off of 2 straight losses the Penguins will be looking to make up ground in the Metropolitan Division when they take on the Atlantic Divison's Toronto Maple Leafs on Saturday night. Unfortunately for the Penguins it's going to be an uphill battle with head coach Mike Sullivan confirming prior to the start of tonight's game that forward Bryan Rust is out of the lineup due to injury.

Sullivan also confirmed that goaltender Tristan Jarry, who has a 2.47 goals against average and a .916 save percentage over 14 games this season, will get the start in Pittsburgh tonight.

Rust has missed the last 3 games due to injury but there was some hope that he would return to action over the weekend after he was spotted skating with his team at practice on Friday.

Rust has been out of the lineup since the Penguins picked up a win over the Golden Knights earlier this month but was having a great start to the season prior to his injury with 9 goals and 7 assists for a total of 16 points in 17 games.
