Paul Maurice irate over penalty call in Game 7.
The head coach of the Florida Panthers exploded on the bench after his player was called for a penalty late in the second period.
The head coach of the Florida Panthers was irate with the National Hockey League officials on the ice in Game 2 after they sent one of his top defensemen to the penalty box for a call that he quite clearly disagreed with.
The call that would draw the ire of Maurice would come late in the second period and would be a roughing call against Panthers defenseman Brandon Montour. Montour would knock Bruins forward David Pastrnak down in front of the Florida Panthers' net, and the officials on the ice raised their arms almost immediately in response.
Maurice would lose it on the bench upon seeing the replay of the incident that led to a power play for the Bruins, cursing at the referee from the Panthers as his face turned bright red, flushed with anger. In the short clip below, you can see a second angle of the penalty as well as Maurice's infuriated reaction to the penalty call.
