Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane is a bonafide future Hall of Fame forward and arguably the greatest American-born player in National Hockey League history.
And during Tuesday night's game against the Edmonton Oilers, he added another notch into the stat book of his already impressive career. His 2nd period goal gave him his second point of the night, marking the 333rd occasion that he's enjoyed a multi-point game. And in doing so, he leapfrogged Jeremy Roenick for 2nd most all-time by an American player, and now trails only Mike Modano for most multi-point games by a Yank in NHL history; Modano has 358.
Kane has fit in nicely with the Red Wings, with whom he chose to sign with from a variety of suitors in November earlier this season.
