Panthers’ Steven Lorentz redeems himself after terrible fanned shot!
REDEMPTION!
Steven Lorentz looked bad in the first period, but managed to redeem himself in the second fram of Game 2 of the second round series against the Boston Bruins on Wednesday night.
Looking to tie the game up in the first period after Charlie Coyle put the Bruins on top, Lorentz missed out on a great opportunity when he miserably fanned on the shot and forget the puck when attempting to beat goalie Jeremy Swayman. He whiffed on the shot and then took an open ice hit from defenseman Charlie McAvoy as punishment.
The poor Panthers forward was trending for all the wrong reasons during the first intermission.
However, in the second period, Lorentz was not going to miss again. He brilliantly managed to deflect the puck past Swayman and redeemed himself by tying the score 1-1.
That’s what I call redemption!
