Over a dozen players placed on NHL waivers today

This just in, over a dozen NHL players have been placed on waivers today as teams continue to make roster cuts ahead of the 2024-25 regular season.

It's also worth noting that all players who were on waivers yesterday, including goaltenders Cal Petersen and Spencer Martin, have cleared.

Of the available players, I think Tobias Bjornfot, Jared Tinordi, Cale Fleury and Nick Blankenburg could generate some interest in the open market. Teams are always looking for depth, especially on the back end. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised to see Fleury back with the Montreal Canadiens given the recent injury to David Reinbacher.
