The 2023 Tim Hortons NHL Heritage Classic will feature the Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames battling it out at Commonwealth Stadium on Sunday, October 29. It promises to be a must-see affair, as the historic rivals will face one another for the first time outdoors.
And ahead of the anticipated game, an incredible rendering has been released of what fans can expect to see from a birds-eye point of view!
Does that look amazing or what?
Commonwealth Stadium is the home of the Canadian football League's Edmonton Elks. As fate would have it, the matchup will mark the 20th anniversary of the NHL's first outdoor game between the Oilers and Montreal Canadiens, also held at the same venue with 57,167 fans in attendance.
Additionally, it will be Canadian rock band Nickelback providing the entertainment during the 2nd intermission.
