This story just continues to get crazier.
By now, you're surely aware of the allegations against Columbus Blue Jackets head coach Mike Babcock, who was hired this summer and has yet to officially even coach a single game for his new team. He's said to have requested to see photos from players phones, and while captain Boone Jenner indicated that he personally felt that Babcock's actions were completely innocent and non-intrusive, younger players on the team reportedly did not feel the same way.
And now, according to a report from NHL Insider Darren Dreger, Babcock's job is on the line before the season even begins.
"Based on the information that has been discovered and percolated to the surface in the last 48 hours, I think there's a chance Babcock's job could be in question... I'm not reporting or predicting it's going to happen, but there's a chance that happens."
Stay tuned for any further developments, which could be coming in short order.
