NHL Insider implies William Nylander will be on the move
Is this worth doing for GM Brad Treliving?
HockeyFeed
Toronto Maple Leafs forward William Nylander is undeniably one of the premier goal scorers in the National Hockey League, and it's entirely reasonable that he desires compensation that reflects his talent and performance.
Having reached 40 goals last season for the first time in his career, Nylander was the leading goal scorer for the Leafs and second overall in points. And his contract happens to be expiring next summer, and by all indications, he and new Toronto general manager Brad Treliving are not any closer to a new deal - even after Auston Matthews has agreed to a new four year extension.
Leafs fans very realistically may have to get used to the idea of seeing Nylander play elsewhere, especially if he continues with his reported desire to receive maximum dollar value on his next deal.
