NHL enforcer Darren McCarty viciously attacked on Friday night!

The former Detroit Red Wings enforcer steps into the ring and gets a stiff reality check!

Some fans were treated to one hell of a surprise on Friday night when former National Hockey League enforcer Darren McCarty made a surprise appearance during an "Impact Wrestling" pay-per-view event.

Impact Wrestling held their annual "Sacrifice" event on Friday night in Windsor, Ontario, Canada and during the course of the pay-per-view former long-time Detroit Red Wings enforcer Darren McCarty made an appearance. McCarty, who was well known for his toughness in the NHL, decided to step into the ring with "Bully Ray" but it would prove to be a mistake on the part of McCarty.

That's because instead of walking into what would have been a fair fight 1 on 1 with Bully Ray, McCarty instead walked into a vicious 3 on 1 beatdown that ended with him being powerbombed through a wooden table.

Thankfully the cameras were rolling and all of the action was caught on video, and perhaps we will even get the chance to see McCarty get a measure of revenge at a later date.

P.S. If any of you are genuinely concerned about McCarty's well being here, please remember that wrestling is scripted and that this was all choreographed well ahead of time.
