More details on Marc-Andre Fleury's leave of absence.
Fleury won't be gone long.
On Saturday night news began to leak out suggesting that veteran goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury would be leaving the team for some time to deal with a personal matter back home.
The motivations for Fleury's leave of absence have not been made public but one insider described the matter as deeply personal. While that sounds somewhat ominous, hopefully the latest update on Fleury is an indication that things are going to be alright for the veteran netminder.
According to the latest from Wild reporter Joe Smith, it sounds like Fleury will be back with the team sooner rather than later.
Although Fleury will not be in the lineup this evening when the Wild take on the St. Louis Blues, it does appear as though this will be the only game that he will miss. According to Smith, Fleury is expected to join the Wild on their trip to New York which will begin on Tuesday with a game against the New York Rangers.
That is certainly good news for the Wild and hopefully that means the beloved goaltender got some good news back home as well.
