The Montreal Canadiens honored retired NHL defenseman PK Subban this evening prior to their game against the Nashville Predators, making for a special evening for Habs fans who STILL haven't gotten over Subban's departure.

Subban, of course, retired from professional hockey this past offseason at just 33 years old after he was unable to procure a contract for the upcoming season. He has since transitioned to a career in broadcasting, taking an analyst job with American sports giant ESPN.

This evening though, Subban and the Montreal faithful finally got the closure and the send off that both sides have been seeking since Subban's 2016 to Nashville. It was a touching tribute to one of the most beloved players in team history, but the best part came at the very end when Subban's former teammate and longtime friend Carey Price surprised him on the ice. The pair pulled off their patented "triple low five" much to the delight of the hometown crowd.
