Mitch Marner stands alone at the top... at least for now.
On Sunday night, as the Toronto Maple Leafs welcomed the Detroit Red Wings to Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Mitch Marner became the fastest player in Maple Leafs history to reach the 600 point plateau. When you consider some of the legendary names that have played for the Maple Leafs over the history of their franchise, it is truly a monumental accomplishment on the part of Marner.

Unfortunately for Marner it sounds like it will be a record that he will only hold on to for a relatively short time. As Chris Cuthbert pointed out during the broadcast on Sunday night, teammate Auston Matthews is only 10 points away from hitting the 600 point plateau himself, and with only 520 games under his belt he is all but guaranteed to beat Marner's record in very short order.
