Tie Domi still holds a special place in the hearts of Toronto Maple Leafs fans as one of their cherished former players. Despite his son Max previously playing for the rival Montreal Canadiens and occasionally teasing his father's former team, Max has now joined the Maple Leafs as a player himself, signing a one-year contract during this offseason.
And now, both the elder and younger Domi have partnered with OVO Sound, a Canadian independent record label that was founded in 2012 by rapper and Toronto native Drake, producer 40, and manager Oliver El-Khatib. The company began a clothing line in 2011 that would eventually feature Wayne Gretzky as a model for their Fall and Winter 2020 collection.
A new line of clothing products from the label is the Original 6 collection, which will be released later this month. Take as both Max and Tie display the new duds, as well as NHL Hall of Fame defenseman Chris Chelios wearing a Blackhawks version:
The elder Domi is a friend of Drake's, and even recently joined him onstage during a concert at Scotiabank Arena, the home of the Maple Leafs.
"He gave his heart and soul to this city just like Drake does. So it was great to see," Max said. "I know they're good buddies, so it was awesome. I think he was pretty excited about it, and he looked good up there."
