It's no secret that Florida Panthers forward Matthew Tkachuk has developed a reputation over his years in the National Hockey League of playing with an edge, and sometimes even creeping over that ledge such as earlier this season when he appeared to intentionally thrust his stick blade through the mask cage of Los Angeles Kings goaltender Jonathan Quick.
It looked as though Tkachuk was right back at it again on Tuesday night as his Panthers were taking on the Winnipeg Jets. After he attempted to embellish a penalty while in a battle for the puck with Jets defenseman Brendan Dillon, cameras caught Tkachuk using his stick in what appeared to be a malicious manner:
Of course, Tkachuk has already been suspended once in his career for a spearing incident that came in 2017 against Toronto Maple Leafs forward Matt Martin while the former was a member of the Calgary Flames.
You be the judge. Was Tkachuk at it again?
