He's going to be heading into what he hopes will be his first full NHL season, but before that can happen, he's officially signed a new contract - through not with the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Forward Matthew Knies, who proved himself to be a valuable commodity to the Leafs in the Stanley Cup Playoffs last season, has signed with Warroad Hockey, a brand of safety gear that was founded by 2018 Stanley Cup champion T.J. Oshie of the Washington Capitals.
