Matt Murray officially makes his return to the NHL
The veteran netminder is called back up to the big league.
The Toronto Maple Leafs have announced that they have recalled veteran goaltender Matt Murray from the AHL's Toronto Marlies. In a corresponding move, the team has also announced that they have demoted 23 year old goaltender Dennis Hildeby back down to the Marlies.
The 30 year old Murray has not played an NHL game in nearly a month, last suiting up on December 28th of last year. He's been absolutely sparkling in the AHL for the Marlies this season, posting a 1.68 goals against average and a .934 save percentage in 15 games this season.
