Matt Martin pummels Noel Acciari, then pulls up and shows mercy
Gotta respect The Code.

In case you missed it this evening, the New York Islanders absolutely ran over the Toronto Maple Leafs in Long Island, beating them 7-2 in a pretty lopsided game.
Honestly, if I'm a Leafs fan I'm pretty nervous about this team's mental fortitude lately. They looked absolutely disinterested tonight and if it weren't for an ill-informed decision from Noel Acciari to drop the mitts, the Leafs would have produced zero physicality.
Acciari did try to inspire his new teammates though, but he probably picked a bad opponent. Islanders enforcer Matt Martin completely outclassed Acciari in their quick tilt and actually stopped up at the end to, presumably, spare Acciari his life.
