Marner with OT magic at TD Garden again!
Some of that 4 Nations love for the Leafs in Boston!
Mitch Marner has got some OT magic working at TD Garden lately.
Marner, of course, set up the overtime winner for team Canada at the 4 Nations Face-Off last week. He made a smart play along the wall and fed Connor McDavid alone in the slot for the tournament winning goal last Thursday evening.
In case you needed any reminder, take a gander:
As a Canadian hockey fan I could just watch that over and over...
But I digress...
This evening Marner worked a bit of his TD Garden OT magic once again, capping off a four goal comeback for the Toronto Maple Leafs over the Boston Bruins.
Check it out:
If Marner's going to continue his clutch OT play, it could bode well for the Leafs down the stretch and into the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
Read below for our report on the game earlier when the Bruins' broadcast cut out prematurely and went to commercial.
Oh, boy....
Somebody on NESN messed up BIG TIME!
Just as Boston Bruins forward Morgan Geekie was about to give his team a 3-0 lead over the Toronto Maple Leafs, NESN's broadcast cut the game off and displayed an advertisement for Chipotle's new braised beef barbacoa.
Check it out:
Honestly...
I was going to go off on a rant about how terrible this is but the comedic timing is too good for me to get angry. I actually kind think it's funny. Beefy goal, beefy commercial. It makes sense, really.
For our earlier report on this game and the injury suffered by Leafs defenseman Chris Tanev, read below.
This just in, the Toronto Maple Leafs have announced the veteran defenseman Chris Tanev will not return to tonight's game against the Boston Bruins after suffering a upper body injury.
Tanev took a hard hit from Bruins forward John Beecher and appeared to be in discomfort on his way to the Leafs' bench.
Check it out:
Stay tuned for an official update on Tanev's status beyond tonight's game.
