Marchand chirps back at Canadian broadcaster who said he “hates” him
You just knew Marchy would have something to say about this!

In case you missed it last night, the Boston Bruins managed to get past the struggling Vancouver Canucks, thanks in large part to Canucks-killer Brad Marchand.
Marchand not only tied the game up in the third period, but he also set up the winning goal with under four minutes left to play.
Check it out:
Despite earning 1st Star of the night for his efforts in the game though, the talk afterwards wasn't about Marchand's on-ice play. As is often the case with Marchand, the media like to pick him apart and last night was no exception. But this time, I think the media kind of got things backward... allow me to explain.
NHL on TNT analyst Anson Carter took to Twitter to defend Marchand from what he felt was unfair remarks from Sportsnet commentator John Garrett.
Check it out:
Okay, fair enough. But here's the thing... Garrett never said he "hated Marchand", in fact he actually said just the opposite and praised Marchand for his tough play last night.
Check out Garrett's direct response to Carter and the accompanying video of him praising Marchand:
I mean... does that sound like a guy who "hates" Brad Marchand? Not at all. Not to me, at least.
Nevertheless, Marchand chirped back at Garrett a bit when asked by Bruins reporters for his thoughts on things and here's what the feisty forward had to say:
Again, fair enough... but Marchand is barking up the wrong tree, mostly though just because of Carter's original Tweet.
To be perfectly fair though, there are broadcasters and analysts out there who don't really try to hide their distaste for Marchand. I'm not going to sit here and call people out for their professionalism, but if you want a perfect example of a broadcaster who plays favorites then look no further than the Bruins' very own broadcast team. Longtime NESN play by play man Jack Edwards is insufferable if you're not a diehard Bruins fan and he gets off scot free while we condemn a quality, veteran color commentator like John Garrett? Gimme a break...
