There is everything in this dressing room saga in Vancouver: trade rumours, denials and now leaked video! With the apparent feud between Canucks forwards J.T. Miller and Elias Pettersson in the spotlight, speculations are ongoing, leading to the belief that the two forwards could be on the move. The Canucks have attempted to keep a lid on it and move on, working towards clinching a playoff spot this season, however, a fan recently leaked a video from a game, exposing the feud and only heating up the controversy in Vancouver.

The fan posted a moment on the bench from a recent game, in which you can see Pettersson and teammate Andrei Kuzmenko joking around on the bench. The two players appeared to be laughing as Pettersson is celebrating scoring a goal by slamming his stick against the bench boards.

Fans are saying that this could be a reference to another recent incident when Miller slammed his stick against the boards in frustration, an incident that allegedly bothered Kuzmenko and Pettersson when it took place.

This is all explained in the video by Goat Radio below, which shows the leaked video of Pettersson and Kuzmenko allegedly laughing at Miller.

I’m not sure where this is going, but I have the feeling it will not be helping the situation in Vancouver.

It has been reported in the past that the Canucks hoped that all of this would calm down on its own, but rumours are still swirling around and it feels like it will end up with either Miller or Pettersson wearing another jersey… The former holds a full no-trade clause which gives him control on what happens next, while Pettersson has no such trade protection. However, insider Chris Johnston reported on last night’s Insider Trading on TSN that Miller “is the more likely of the two players to be moved.”

For now, they need to remember they are playing for the same team, towards the same goal. They might have extremely different personalities, but they are probably both perfectionists and looking for success. And so they should remember they are teammates and that they can’t win without each other.
