Leafs GM Dubas working on goalie trade?
It is believed that Toronto wants an upgrade in between the pipes…

The Toronto Maple Leafs kicked off the 2019-20 season with two strong victories over the Ottawa Senators and Columbus Blue Jackets - and we have to admit that Auston Matthews, Mitch Marner and John Tavares look great on the ice.
However, it seems like there remains some worry over what is taking place in between the pipes. The Maple Leafs might have fixed an important issue on the back end, acquiring Tyson Barrie and Cody Ceci to boost things there, but Dave Feschuk of the Toronto Star now wonders if the Maple Leafs backup-goalie position will remain a concern this season.
Head coach Mike Babcock didn’t blame Michael Hutchinson for the club’s 6-5 meltdown on Saturday night against the Montreal Canadiens, however, you can bet they will check out and see if they trust Hutchinson to spell off starter Frederik Andersen this season.
It is a few games into the season, however, Feschuk believes general manager Kyle Dubas could be seriously looking into finding a stronger backup for Andersen. The Leafs offered a PTO to Michal Neuvrith this season, which didn’t work out, so we know a concern is there in between the pipes.
Where would you like to see the Maple Leafs start shopping? Who could be a good option for Toronto?
