Latest update on Max Pacioretty reveals how his career may be coming to an end…
Devastating update:

Last week, the worst was confirmed for Carolina Hurricanes’ Max Pacioretty, who tore his right Achilles tendon, two weeks after returning to action after suffering the same injury in August.
The veteran forward re-injured the same tendon in a strange yet scary sequence towards the end of the game against the Minnesota Wild last Thursday. The poor Pacioretty is nowhere near anyone that could have caused the injury. He had the puck near the Wild net and was pivoting to make a pass back to Seth Jarvis, but his leg gave out and he fell on the ice.
And just like that his season came to an end. Chris Johnston provided the latest update on Pacioretty condition on Insider Trading on TSN last night:
“It sounds like Max Pacioretty is facing a recovery of at least eight-to-nine months after his second Achilles procedure. What’s interesting is the length he travelled to have it. He went to Turku, Finland, to seek out one of the top surgeons for the Achilles injury in the world. Everyone from soccer stars like David Beckham, to elite marathoners, to presidents have been treated at the sports hospital in Turku like Pacioretty was this week.”
While it is good news that Pacioretty is seeking help from a top expert, it is worrisome how he is dealing with such a serious injury that could cost him his career.
In the five games played after his return to action, his firsts with Carolina since the trade from the Vegas Golden Knights, Pacioretty scored three goals.
