Kevin Owens jumps off railing wearing Mario Lemieux jersey.
WWE wrestler Kevin Owens was in Pittsburgh on Saturday night and he paid tribute to an NHL legend.
There are some legends who live on long after they have played their final game, and Pittsburgh Penguins and National Hockey League legend Mario Lemieux is a prime example of that.
Although it has been many years since we last had the chance to see Super Mario take to the ice in the NHL, on Saturday night WWE wrestler Kevin Owens made it his mission to pay tribute to the legendary hockey player. Owens, who is from Lemieux's home province of Quebec, was prominently featured in a WWE event at PPG Paints arena in Pittsburgh on Saturday night and it was during that show that he gave his salute to Lemieux.
During his match, Owens performed an insane stunt that involved him jumping off of a railing and landing onto another wrestler who was laying on a table far below the railing.
Unsurprisingly the highlight has made the rounds very rapidly on social media, especially in the Pittsburgh area, and I can only hope that Lemieux himself has had the chance to see the crazy stunt.
