John Scott embarrasses himself with hilariously awful take

To say that former towering National Hockey League forward John Scott was perhaps one of the biggest charity cases in hockey history would be an understatement. Of course, we all remember the 2016 NHL All-Star game in which he was voted captain for the team representing the Pacific Division of the Western Conference despite having only registered a point in 11 games at that point in the season. He would later be named the All-Star Game MVP. 

In 286 career games, Scott scored five goals with six assists - certainly not numbers worthy of being worthy of being anywhere near an All-Star game, except in the audience. 

And if Scott's recent opining of how he'd start an NHL franchise is any indication, he wouldn't be included in discussion of top hockey executives, either. Scott said that if he were starting a team from scratch, superstar Edmonton Oilers captain Connor McDavid would not be in his top five choices. 

"If I'm building a franchise, McDavid wouldn't be one of my top 5 choices," he said. 

I mean, McDavid did just score his 30th goal of the season before the start of the new calendar year, but apparently, that's not good enough for hypothetical general manager John Scott.
