Joey Daccord unveils his new mask for the 2023-24 season.
The Seattle Kraken goaltender has a brand new mask for this upcoming season and he is showing it off!
Although having no hockey during the summer is always a bummer, it is also a time when we get some pretty cool previews for the up and coming National Hockey League season. Perhaps no previews are better than the teasers we get for the goalie masks we can expect to see during the course of the season, and the newest goalie mask design comes to us courtesy of Seattle Kraken goaltender Joey Daccord.
On Saturday, Shifty Paint unveiled their new design for what will be Daccord's mask for the 2023-24 season and it is nothing short of stunning. The design features the stylized "S" in the traditional style of the Seattle Kraken and even features the Kraken itself with tentacles featured prominently across the mask as well.
What really stole the show for me however was the top and back of the mask where a pair of boats can be seen sailing below a night sky, partially covered by trees in the foreground. Standing among the trees is the silhouette of either the captain or a crew member on one of those ships, a truly beautiful design on the part of Shifty Paint.
