Jim Montgomery confirms last minute changes to his lineup.
The head coach of the Boston Bruins is shaking things up on Saturday after injuries created some changes.
The Boston Bruins are making some last minute adjustments ahead of facing the St. Louis Blues for the second time this week.
On Saturday, the Bruins made a total of 4 roster changes early in the day that included a pair of interesting call ups from the American Hockey League's Providence Bruins and we now know that those callups will indeed be a factor today.
The Bruins called up forward Riley Tufte, who has already appeared in a pair of games for the Bruins this season, but perhaps the biggest news of the day was the call up of forward Georgii Merkulov who has been tearing it up in the AHL this season. Merkulov has registered nearly a point per game, scoring 2 goals and adding 9 assists for a total of 11 points over his 12 games with the Providence Bruins this season.
Head coach Jim Montgomery confirmed just minutes before the start of the game that both men would indeed slot into today's lineup and judging based on warmups it looks like Tufte will be on the left wing for the team's fourth line while Merkulov will occupy the same spot on the Bruins' third line.
