Jeremy Swayman has perfect reaction to Max Domi's shove
Great stuff from the Bruins goalie!
Boston Bruins goaltender Jeremy Swayman had the perfect response to Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi's shove, which sent him down to the ice during a television timeout in Game 3 at Scotiabank Arena.
It was Domi who collided with Swayman, seemingly doing nothing to avoid the goaltender's path, while he was trying to make his way toward the Bruins bench during a stoppage in play. And while nothing more came of it beyond Pat Maroon attempting to get at Domi but being restrained by the officials, Swayman had the perfect response to the incident afterward.
“He was just skating. I was skating,” Swayman explained with a sly smile. “I told Emily (Swayman’s girlfriend) I had to do more pushups. So I’m going to work on that."
Meanwhile, Swayman acknowledged that while he wants as much playing time as possible, his role is to do whatever is necessary to help the Bruins win regardless of whether it's him or teammate Linus Ullmark between the pipes.
“Anytime I get a chance to play I’m going to do everything I can to help this team win whether it’s back to back or every other game,” he said.
Right now, the Bruins have yet to name their starting goaltender for tomorrow's Game 4 at Scotiabank Arena.
