Jack Eichel injured, will miss time.

The Vegas Golden Knights suffer yet another injury, and this time it's a big one.

The Vegas Golden Knights have been hit hard by the injury bug and unfortunately on Saturday the trend continued with a particularly big blow to the Golden Knights lineup.

Head coach Bruce Cassidy has officially confirmed that star forward Jack Eichel has been knocked out of the lineup with an injury, one that was apparently caught by the Golden Knights medical team during what sounds like a routine checkup for Eichel.

According to Cassidy, Eichel was dealing with some soreness and when the medical team investigated, they discovered an injury that will require Eichel to sit on the sidelines for a while. There was no timeline provided by Cassidy for Eichel's return, however it doesn't sound like this will be just a single game type of absence.

That likely means that Eichel is headed to the injured reserve list, a list that already includes a long list of names such as Tobias Bjornfot, William Carrier, Adin Hill, Ben Hutton, William Karlsson, Robin Lehner, Daniil Miromanov, and Shea Theodore.

Here is the lineup you can expect to see this evening due to the Eichel injury, as seen during the Golden Knights' morning skate:

Barbashev-Roy-Marchessault
Dorofeyev-Stephenson-Stone
Cotter-Howden-Amadio
Rondbjerg-Froese-Kolesar
