J.T. Miller hints at another bonkers start and fights in final vs. Canada!
See what the American forward had to say ahead of Thursday night’s final, down below:
The championship game everyone hoped for is now officially happening on Thursday evening between Canada and the United States. The first time the two teams faced off in the 4 nations tournament on Saturday, the game featured everything fans watched to see in a show down of the two countries : three back to back fights in the first nine seconds, highlight reel goals and saves and some massive hits delivered from both sides. American forward Matthew Tkachuk and Canadian counterpart Brandon Hagel fought two seconds into the first period. Canadian forward Sam Bennett and Brady Tkachuk of the U.S. then dropped the gloves one second later. And after playing the actual game for six seconds, U.S. winger J.T. Miller fought defenseman Colton Parayko. Team USA went on to defeat Team Canada 3-1, clinching a spot in the 4 Nations Face-Off final.
When asked about the final on Thursday night and if fans can expect another bonkers start, this is what Miller told Dan Rosen of NHL.com:
“We have a hockey game to win so we’re going to do whatever it takes as a group to win the game.”
And so, Rosen feels like both teams will do whatever it takes to match the intensity of the crowd’s atmosphere that will be emotionally charged. It could lead to a fight off the first puck drop.
Canada and the United States, Round 2, the rematch, Game 7, is coming on Thursday night and we cannot wait to see how it all gets started!
