The Detroit Red Wings are in a must-win situation this evening against the Montreal Canadiens, as earning two points combined with a loss by the Washington Capitals in any fashion will propel them to the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time since 2016.
However, just minutes into tonight's game at Bell Centre, they've lost one of their key players to what was a scary incident on the ice. Forward J.T. Compher, who scored twice in last night's win over the Habs in Detroit, was cut by the skate blade of Montreal's Juraj Slafkovský and had to depart to the dressing room for repairs:
Let's hope that he wasn't seriously hurt and that he can return to action soon.
