New York Islanders general manager Lou Lamoriello announced today that the team has hired Paul McLean as an assistant coach under head coach Lane Lambert. McLean joins assistant Doug Houda on Lambert's staff.
McLean, of course, is a franchise legend from the New Jersey Devils, one of the Isles' biggest rivals. Which, really should come as no surprise given McLean's longtime relationship with Lamoriello.
