First overall pick Connor Bedard is getting ready to play his first NHL game as a Chicago Blackhawks in less than a month, and he is looking to get all the advice he can get from Sidney Crosby’s to Connor McDavid’s.
However, he did not need the advice from former enforcer Cam Janssen. Janssen, a retired player who split time between the AHL and NHL throughout his career, now runs the podcast “Cam and Strick” with Andy Strickland. He recently gave unsolicited advice to Bedard, which was inappropriate, despicable and unwelcomed.
Janssen suggested that Bedard shack up with a “coug” shortened for a “cougar” who would take care of him, feed him, and house him, as well as take care of his needs as he goes.

The segment from the podcast was shared online by the Cam and Strick and was later deleted, but this user on X kept a recording and shared it on the social network, expressing his disgust.
Janssen is now 39 years and played 336 NHL games with the New Jersey Devils and St. Louis Blues.
And he still manages to make headlines.
