Imminent trade between Pens and Sabres?
The trade chatter is getting hot and they might have found the right deal!

Trade chatter might have started as a whisper earlier this week, but it is now louder than ever.
For weeks now, it has been reported that the Penguins are looking to move forward Alex Galchenyuk, who’s been a disappointment ever since he landed in Pittsburgh from the Phil Kessel trade to the Arizona Coyotes.
The 25-year-old former third overall pick has struggled in Pittsburgh, despite receiving some plum playing time with superstars Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin. Galchenyuk has just two goals and 10 points in 23 games. His career high came in 2015-16 when he potted 30 goals and 56 points with the Montreal Canadiens, the team who drafted him back in 2012.
So… if Galchenyuk is indeed slated to play for his fourth team in just three seasons, who will it be? Where will he end up?
Trade chatter intensified this week when NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Buffalo Sabres have interest and that the Ottawa Senators have also been mentioned in trade talks.
Now it seems like the Sabres might pull this off ever since defenseman Zach Bogosian demanded a trade on Thursday. Lance Lysowski of the Buffalo News cited TSN’s Darren Dreger reporting Bogosian has requested a trade, he who a healthy scratch from Thursday’s 4-3 win over the Nashville Predators.
Injuries have limited the blue liner from playing more than 65 games per season with the Sabres. However, Lysowski believes the Sabres could flip Bogosian to the Penguins in return for Galchenyuk. Both players will become unrestricted free agents in July.
This is one we need to keep an eye on!
