Ilya Samsonov snaps during Maple Leafs practice on Saturday.

Something is not right with the number one goaltender for the Toronto Maple Leafs, and the cracks are starting to show.

The Toronto Maple Leafs hit the ice on today for a little practice time ahead of their upcoming Game 3 against the Florida Panthers, and there were a few notable takeaways from their Saturday morning skate.

The biggest surprise of the day came courtesy of Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov who at one point appeared to snap after a failed poke check resulted in a puck getting past him. One thing that definitely did snap was the frustrated Russian goaltender's stick as he slammed it against the crossbar in anger, turning it into nothing more than a piece of tinder.

It is unclear what exactly prompted such a reaction from Samsonov, but many suspect the Leafs netminder has been battling some type of injury throughout this series thus far. Although today's reaction from Samsonov certainly doesn't confirm any potential injuries, it does suggest that not all is well with Samsonov. A number one goaltender that is at less than 100% is bad news for the Maple Leafs, especially considering they already find themselves down two games in this series.
