Ilya Samsonov calls out Leafs fans after his first win with Vegas
The former Leafs goalie burns his bridges in Toronto.
As the Toronto Maple Leafs continue their search for a starting goaltender, former Leafs netminder Ilya Samsonov appears to be doing much better in his new locale.
Ilya Samsonov, now a member of the Vegas Golden Knights, recently had his first start with his new team, earning a tidy 3-1 victory over the Anaheim Ducks on Sunday. After the game, Samsonov told reporters just how much he enjoys his new team, his teammates and their fanbase and inadvertently called out Leafs fans in the process.

As you can imagine, those comments got fans worked up online. There are Vegas fans calling out the Leafs and there are Leafs fans calling out Samsonov. Can't we all just be happy for a guy to have found his footing? His NHL future looked to be in serious doubt as a member of the Leafs and now he's thriving in a new organization.
