His first goal since November 20th!!!

Attention, Flames fans. This is NOT a drill. Jonathan Huberdeau has scored a goal. I repeat: Beleaguered Calgary Flames forward Jonathan Huberdeau has scored a goal.
And not just any goal, Huberdeau scored an absolutely beautiful goal to win it for Flames tonight in a 2-1 victory over the Minnesota Wild in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Check it out:
It's just Huberdeau's fifth goal of the season and his first in a whopping 18 games. The last time the Quebec native tickled the twine was November 20th. Yikes!
Obviously, the Flames have suffered mightily this season thanks in large part to Huberdeau's lack of production. Acquired in the 2022 offseason in a blockbuster trade with the Florida Panthers involving Matthew Tkachuk and MacKenzie Weegar, Huberdeau signed a monster contract worth $10.5 million per season. That was when he was coming off a career high 115 point season with the Panthers though. His first campaign with the Flames last season he managed just 15 goals and 55 points in 79 games. This season he's up to five goals and 13 points in 36 games. Double Yikes!
